Come enjoy the day visiting these gardens before and after my talk. They are open from 9:00-5:00. Call for tickets to visit the gardens, 310-544-1948. This botanic garden is unique in that it was developed and reclaimed from a sanitary landfill. Over 50 years ago, private citizens with a vision and purpose restored the land that has become a haven for plants and wildlife. There are over 200,000 plants.
